From Sketch to Keepsake: How It’s Made

Artist’s hand holding a stylus above a digital tablet while drawing a pencil-style portrait of a black Labrador in a cosy home setting.

Each piece begins with a loose sketch, using your photo as a reference.
For painted portraits, I build up the artwork in layers, starting with a bold and varied colour palette. As the portrait takes shape, I gently tone the colours to bring out the natural texture of your pet’s fur while keeping a vibrant, painterly feel.

For pencil portraits, I use soft shading, crosshatching and subtle highlights to create a finished piece that feels detailed, delicate, and true to your pet’s unique features.

Printed to Last

Your portrait is printed on 310gsm museum-grade fine art paper. With archival properties fit for a gallery, it’s designed to last without fading for over 100 years.

Thoughtfully Packaged

Your finished piece is carefully wrapped using eco-friendly packaging materials that are recyclable and plastic-free wherever possible. It’s then shipped straight to your door, ready to gift or frame.
